There are many sporting Clubs that organise activities for tourists and foreign students including rafting, canyoning, hydrospeed, canoeing, swimming, rock-climbing, golf, bicycling, weight-training, skiing, angling, bungee jumping, aerobics, equestrian sports, trekking, tennis, aero tours, wind-surfing and sailing at local sports centres. Some activities are free, and some are at special reduced rates.
Equestrian sports: The Umbrian countryside is ideal for riding, offering ample stretches of wild and uncontaminated areas.
Only 3 km from Casale Ulivi, in San Terenziano, there is a riding-ground with the opportunity of riding-lessons and excursions by horse.
Rafting: It is organized on the rapids of the Nera river for a distance of 3km starting at the Marmore Waterfall.

Country rambling and trekking.
The natural morphology of the Region lends itself admirably to these pastimes. This is an 18-hole golf course situated 10 kms from Perugia and is open all year round.

Angling: Enquires must be made to the local federation for information on Regional rules and seasonal size limits for various species. Angling is practised on Lake Trasimeno and on Lake Piediluco for tench, carp, eel, perch, coregon and bleak; the same is true for Lake Corbara; on the rivers Chiascio, Assino, Nera, Corno and Clitunno for trout; on the Tiber for carp, chub, barbel and other white fish.
